Five things about movies
1. A director does everything for a reason, including camera angle, lighting, and random object placement.
2. You can find some sort of political meaning within every movie.
3. Choosing the write background music for every scene is very important, because it helps the audience feel the same emotion that the character feel.
4. I learned what mise en scene was.
5. Forshadowing is in every movie.
Five things about politics
1. There are 2 sides to every political story
2. We dont know a majority of things that are going on in the government
3. The press only knows what the government wants them to know
4. There are a lot of injustices between government officials and soldiers
5. The president doesnt always make the decisions.
I think this course really opened my eyes to how little the press actually tells us about the inner workings of our country. i feel like unfortunately the government has the ultimate controll over what the public actually knows, and what is kept private. Also I now know how unfair the stop-loss program is, and that it is a real occurence in this country. I also learned that there isnt much that anyone can really do to stop these things, Stop-loss didnt make very much money in the box office, because no one really wants to know whats being done to these soldiers because it doesnt really effect them. Unfortunately if thats the way people keep thinking then the government will keep being able to get away with this.
Nice blog, I have bumped your lowest blog grade up a bit.
