1)A member of the Caucasoid race
2.) being of the achromatic color of maximum lightness; having little or no hue owing to reflection of almost all incident light.

This is what white means to me. In every sense I think of white as a color, no more. I am white and that is where it stops for me, a descriptive adjective. I choose not to believe in the connotations that come with the word because believing them would only reinforce inequality. I will not argue that the connotations are not there, I simply choose not to validate them.
I believe that by affirming any more meaning of the word will only lead to assigning meanings to other races as well. If one person is white, and another is black, I choose to assign no connotations to either other than the pigmentation of their skin.
I have witnessed and participated in both sides of racism and it is never fair. Until the world learns to put faith in character and actions over demographics and skin color we will be burdened by ever growing feelings of alienation and hate.
I am not perfect, in many cases I fail to practice what I believe in. That does not stop me from believing in it or striving to achieve it. It is one of my goals to one day be able to look at individuals through a completely unblemished lens and asses there worth based solely on their quality of character.
