Loos - W

I think over all the film gave a very sympathetic picture of one of the most criticized presidents our nation has seen. Bush is portrayed as this charming and fun-loving guy whose family dynamics drove him to the presidency. I think this is a very simplified stance on Bush.\\

One of the most honest scenes of Bush in this film was of him at the press conference. He is asked a tough question and he begins to stutter and look confused and nervous. The public saw Bush's awkward press conferences numerous times on television. This is one of the few scenes of Bush that the public has witnessed in real life, as opposed to the speculative behind-the-scenes portrayal of his life, which is the majority of the film.

The second most honest scene of Bush is at the frat party. Although, this is a speculative scene, it is very easy for the public to see Bush at some sort of frat party. His Yale frat days are a well-known part of his life. Also, I think it depicts many qualities of Bush that the public recongnize. It shows him as a "man's man," a guy you want to party with and have a beer with.
