What soldiers should do, in my opinion, is oppose the laws that make stop-loss possible in the U.S. There should be more former soldiers who know what it is like to serve speaking out against a policy that seems so clearly unjust.

Tricamo-Palmer-Stop Loss
The choice given to soldiers who have been called back to duty is practically none. The military makes it practically impossible to refuse service. It is shown in the movie Stop Loss how hard it would be to refuse to go back into service. The soldiers can go back, go to jail, or flee the country. All of these being really hard things to do, the soldiers are put in a situation that really has no good solution.
