Walker Rendition Post

The torture shown in rendition is obviously not something America should be associated with. I feel however, that under certain circumstances, it may be neccesary. If we torture one person, and directly resulting from that we save 10, 100, or however many lives, or catch a high ranking cartel lord. I feel that if innocent peoples lives are at risk it is important to do all in our power to protect them, even if that means torturing a terrorist. The problem is that it becomes a silippery slope, what is acceptable and non-acceptable torture? who can we torture? Protecting our country should not conflict with basic human and civil rights.

  1. This is much too short. You won't get full credit if you don't spend a bit more time thinking about the issues.
