Film Recommendation: Gosford Park

I would recommend the film Gosford Park(2001), directed by Robert Altman, as I think it illustrates tension between social classes that are still apparent today. The film is about a hunting party at an English country estate in the 30s. Because of time period, the lines between classes is clearly defined and, in this day and age, somewhat unreliable. However, it’s the competition and animosity between people in the same classes that is interesting and relevant to today’s society. Gosford Park depicts the social nuances that, though dated, are still very much in effect today.
