Dupuis Blackboard

The only issue I have had with Blackboard is with the digital dropbox. Other than that, I find that Blackboard enhances the overall learning experience by keeping resources readily at hand and by keeping the students and professors connected. If there are anyways to improve the service, it is most likely a programming issue that the designers must address. I also do not know the extent that the library can control how Blackboard operates.

I would like to explore in this part of the class how the saying "Freedom isn't free" has changed to mean that we must sacrifice our right for the illusion of safety. That saying has always meant that we must sacrifice our lives to live in a free society. It is not a logical translation to say that being free means losing freedoms. All a government can do is give the illusion of safety. The government is the true benefactor in a society that believes they must sacrifice freedom for the impossible lure of safety. Americans have become too afraid to defend anything for themselves, including their freedom.
